At a Glance

Reshapes the selected geometry like a flexible sheet, using a set of movable "pins" placed over it as anchor points — dragging a pin stretches and warps the nearby geometry along with it, while the rest of the sheet flexes smoothly to follow.

Parameters

Parameter Description
Pin Mode Switches between dragging pins, adding new pins, and removing pins.
Pin Layout How the initial pins are placed: grid, selection corners, material corners, or auto-detected from circles.
Pin Position The coordinates of the selected pin.
Reset Pins Snaps all pins back to their original positions, undoing the current distortion.
Copy Leaves the original geometry in place and creates a distorted copy instead.
Apply / Close Apply completes the distortion immediately; Close/Cancel exits without applying it.

Overview

Reshapes the selected geometry like a flexible sheet, using a set of movable "pins" placed over it as anchor points — dragging a pin stretches and warps the nearby geometry along with it, while the rest of the sheet flexes smoothly to follow. Pins can be laid out automatically in a grid, at the corners of the selection or material, or auto-detected from circles already in the drawing.

Using Flex Distort

  1. Select the object(s) to distort.
  2. Choose a pin layout — Grid, Selection corners, Material corners, or Auto Detect.
  3. Choose a pin mode: Drag Pins, Add/Move Pins, or Remove Pins.
  4. Click and drag one or more pins to warp the geometry, previewed live; Reset Pins snaps everything back to its starting shape.
  5. Press Enter or click Apply to apply the distortion permanently; press Escape or click Close/Cancel to leave it unchanged.

Choosing a Pin Layout

Pins can begin as a Grid, at Selection corners, at Material corners, or be Auto Detected from circles in the drawing.

Editing Pins

Use Drag Pins to deform the geometry, Add/Move Pins to change the control layout, and Remove Pins to delete controls. The geometry responds continuously as pins move.

Use Reset Pins to return every pin to its original position and undo the current distortion preview. Enable Copy when the distorted result should be created as a duplicate.

Result

The selected geometry is permanently reshaped to follow the pin positions, replacing the original outline, or, if Copy was on, added as a distorted duplicate.
