At a Glance

Takes whatever you've selected and creates a patterned set of copies of it. Three patterns are available: a grid of rows and columns, a ring of copies spaced around an arc, or a series of copies distributed along an existing outline elsewhere in the drawing.

Copy patterns include Array Copy, Arc Copy, and Path Copy.

Parameters

Parameter Description
Mode Array Copy (grid), Arc Copy (ring), or Path Copy (along an outline).
Placement corner Which corner or side of the selection the copies are anchored and measured from.
Fill Material (Array) Automatically fits as many copies as possible onto the sheet without overlapping, instead of a fixed row/column count.
Align (Arc/Path) Rotates each copy to stay perpendicular to the arc or path.
Spacing mode & values (Array) Horizontal/vertical gap vs. total spacing, and Rows/Columns counts.
Radius, Sweep Angle, Start Angle, Center (Arc) Defines the ring the copies are placed around.
Path pattern (Path) By Number, By Spacing, All Corners, Inside Corners, or Outside Corners — how copies are distributed along the outline.
Number / Spacing / Offset Percent (Arc/Path) How many copies, their spacing, and the starting offset along the path.
Apply / Close Apply creates the copies; Close cancels without creating anything.

Overview

Takes whatever you've selected and creates a patterned set of copies of it. Three patterns are available: a grid of rows and columns, a ring of copies spaced around an arc, or a series of copies distributed along an existing outline elsewhere in the drawing. A live preview shows every copy's position and updates instantly as settings are adjusted; copies aren't created until you click Apply.

Using Multi Copy

  1. Select the object(s) you want to copy in the drawing.
  2. Choose a copy pattern and adjust its settings — for the arc or path patterns you can also click an existing arc or outline to base the copies on. Click Apply to create the copies, or Close to cancel.

Array Copy

Array Copy creates a grid. Set the row/column counts and spacing, or use Fill Material to fit as many copies as possible on the material without overlap.

Arc Copy

Arc Copy distributes copies around a defined arc using Radius, Start Angle, Sweep Angle, Center, and copy count/spacing settings.

Path Copy

Path Copy distributes copies along an existing contour. The path can be populated by number, by spacing, or at selected corner types. Enable Align when each copy should rotate to remain perpendicular to the arc or path.

The preview updates before anything is created. Click Apply only after the pattern is positioned as intended.

Result

New copies of the original selection are added to the drawing at each previewed position; the original selected object(s) are left in place.
