At a Glance

Adds an angular dimension to the drawing — an arc with a text label showing the angle between two line segments you click.

Parameters

Dimension Styling

Parameter Description
Font Name / Font Style The font and Regular/Bold/Italic styling used for the dimension's measurement text.
Height The height of the dimension text.
Justify Where the measurement text sits relative to the dimension line: above it, inline along it, or below it.
Dimension arrow size The size of the arrowheads drawn on the dimension line.
Leader line gap / extension The gap left between the leader line and the measured point, and how far the leader line extends beyond the dimension.

Overview

Adds an angular dimension to the drawing — an arc with a text label showing the angle between two line segments you click.

Using Angular Dimension

  1. Click the first line segment.
  2. Click a second line segment — the two must cross (when extended, if needed) to form a measurable angle.
  3. Move the mouse to size and position the angle arc and its text label, then click again to place it.

Selecting the Angle

Click the two line segments that define the angle. The lines must intersect, or be able to intersect when extended, so Ibex can determine a common vertex.

After both lines are selected, move the cursor to choose the radius and position of the dimension arc and its text, then click to place it.

The shared dimension settings control the text and arrow styling.

Result

An angular dimension: an arc drawn between the two selected line segments together with a text label showing the measured angle.
