At a Glance

The Fisheye Distort Tool applies a lens-like distortion to selected objects, mimicking the visual effect of a fisheye camera. It’s great for creative distortion while maintaining control over scale and intensity.

Parameters

Focal Length
Controls the intensity of the distortion.

A lower value results in more extreme distortion.

A higher value softens the effect.

Scale
Adjusts the size of the distorted contours to compensate for shape loss due to the distortion effect.

Right Mouse
Right-click to go back one step during the operation.

Overview

The Fisheye Distort Tool in Ibex transforms selected contours as if viewed through a fisheye lens, bulging or compressing shapes outward from a central point.

How to Use

Select the objects you want to distort.

Open the Fisheye Distort Tool from the ribbon.

Use the provided parameters to adjust the effect:

Focal Length changes how dramatic the distortion appears. A smaller number gives a strong warp effect, while a larger number gives a subtle bend.

Scale lets you resize the distorted objects so they stay closer in size to the originals.

Preview updates in real time as you adjust parameters.

Right-click if you want to undo a step or reset placement.

This tool is particularly useful for design effects, visual enhancements, or simulating curved perspectives.
