At a Glance

The Circle Tool offers four flexible creation modes to draw circles using precise coordinates or interactive mouse input. It supports design workflows that range from fast sketching to exact geometry.

Parameters

Mode

Center + Radius: Create a circle defined by a center point and a radius.

Center + Point: Define the center, then a point on the contour.

Corners: Create a circle defined by two diagonal corners of a bounding box.

Three Points: Define a circle by selecting three points on the perimeter.

Radius
Sets the radius of the circle (used in Center + Radius mode).

Center
Coordinates for the center of the circle (used in Center-based modes).

Point1, Point2, Point3
Used in respective modes to define points that determine the circle's geometry:

Point1: First defining point.

Point2: Second defining point.

Point3: Third point on the circumference (used only in Three Point mode).

Right Mouse
Right-click at any point to go back a step in the creation process.

Overview

The Circle Tool in Ibex lets you create circles in four different ways, giving you both control and speed depending on your workflow:

Center + Radius

Specify a radius numerically and define the center either via the input panel or by clicking in the workspace. Great for accurate, fixed-size circles.

Center + Point

Click to place the center, then drag or click again to define a point on the circle's edge. This sets the radius based on distance from center to point.

Corners

Create a circle by defining two opposite corners of a bounding box. The tool fits the largest possible circle within that box, effectively auto-defining both diameter and center.

Three Points

Select any three points on the perimeter of the desired circle. Ibex calculates the circle that passes through all three points.

Each mode supports both coordinate input and free placement using the mouse. At any time during the process, right-click to back up a step.
