Corners Tool
Insert corners into contours in the drawing
Parameters
The Corners Tool does not use configurable toolbar parameters. It works interactively through point selection and manipulation.
Shortcuts
- Left Click (twice): Select start and end points on a contour to define a corner segment.
- Drag Points: Adjust the start and end points to control the shape and angle of the corner.
- Enter: Confirms and inserts the corner.
- Right Click: Exits the Corners Tool.
How to Use the Corners Tool

Activate the Tool
Click the Corners icon to enable the tool. The cursor will update to indicate corner mode. -
Define a Corner
- Click twice on the contour to set the start and end points for the corner.
- A preview will appear showing the proposed corner based on the selected points.

Adjust the Corner
- Drag the points along the contour to dynamically reshape the corner.
- The preview updates in real time, adapting to your adjustments.

Apply the Corner
- Press Enter to insert the corner into the contour.
- The original geometry is modified to include the new corner.

Repeat and Exit
- You can add multiple corners in one session.
- Works on any contour, including fully curved paths.
- Right-click to exit the tool when done.
The Corners Tool is useful for transforming curves into defined, angular transitions or inserting precise breaks in existing paths.
