Parameters

Overview
The general-purpose tool for reshaping an existing shape point by point. Select a shape, then directly drag its individual points, curve handles, or whole segments to reshape it; type exact coordinates or measurements for a selected point or segment; and use a right-click menu to insert or delete points, convert a segment between line/arc/curve, smooth two curves together, cut or close the shape, and change the shape's starting point.
Using Node Edit
- Click a shape to select it for editing.
- Click and drag a point, curve handle, or whole segment to reshape the outline — or drag a box around several points to move them together.
- With a single point or segment selected, type its exact position, length, radius, or sweep into the on-screen fields.
- Right-click a point, segment, or selection to open a menu with further edits.
- Delete removes the selected point(s); arrow keys nudge them a small step at a time (larger with Shift).
Direct Editing
Select a contour, then drag individual points, curve handles, or whole segments directly in the drawing. Drag a selection box around multiple points when they should move together.
When one point or segment is selected, the options panel exposes the applicable exact values such as position, line length, arc radius, or sweep.
Right-Click Editing Commands
The right-click menu provides structural edits including Insert Point, Delete Points, Convert To Line/Arc/Curve, Align Curves, Cut Contour, Close Contour, and Set Start Point.
The Delete key removes selected points. Arrow keys nudge them in small increments, with Shift increasing the nudge amount.
Result
An edited version of the same shape — reshaped, split, closed, or restructured according to whichever edits were made.
