Table of Contents
At a Glance
Replaces a section of a shape's outline between two clicked points with a smooth curve that blends into the surrounding outline at each end, and lets you drag the curve's handles to reshape it before applying.
Parameters
No numeric fields beyond the standard Apply/Close buttons — the curve's shape is adjusted by dragging its on-screen handles rather than typing values.
Overview
Replaces a section of a shape's outline between two clicked points with a smooth curve that blends into the surrounding outline at each end, and lets you drag the curve's handles to reshape it before applying.
Using Curve Fit
- Click a point on the outline to mark the start of the section to smooth.
- Click a second point to mark the end — a smooth curve is drawn between them, blending into the shape's direction at each end.
- Optionally drag the curve's on-screen handles to reshape it.
- Click Apply to confirm, or back out.
Shaping the Replacement Curve
Pick the beginning and end of the section to replace. Ibex creates a smooth curve between those points and blends its direction into the surrounding contour.
After the curve is created, drag its on-screen handles to adjust the shape before applying it. This makes the tool useful for smoothing or reshaping a local section without rebuilding the entire contour.
Result
A new version of the shape where the section of outline between the two clicked points is replaced with a smooth curve.
