Curve Fit Tool
Fit a curve to existing contours
Parameters
The Curve Fit Tool does not require parameter configuration. It works interactively with visual previews and editable control points.
Shortcuts
- Left Click (twice): Select start and end points on a contour to define the curve span.
- Enter: Confirms and inserts the curve into the drawing.
- Drag Handles: Modify the shape and flow of the curve before committing.
- Right Click: Exits the Curve Fit Tool.
How to Use the Curve Fit Tool

Activate the Tool
Click the Curve Fit icon to enter Curve Fit mode. Your cursor will update to reflect the active tool. -
Define the Curve Span
- Click two points on an existing contour to define where the curve will be applied.
- A preview curve will appear, fitted along the selected span.

Adjust the Curve (Optional)
- Use the handles and control points on the preview to fine-tune the curve's shape.
- The curve is not bound to the original contour, allowing flexibility for stylistic or design modifications.

Finalize the Curve
- Press Enter to apply the curve to the drawing.
- Repeat the process as needed to fit curves along other contours.

Exit the Tool
- Right-click to leave Curve Fit mode.
The Curve Fit Tool is useful for stylizing geometry, smoothing paths, or adding decorative elements by interpolating curves along existing shapes.
