Overview
Connects the open ends of two separate lines (or the two open ends of a single line) into one continuous shape. As you move the cursor near an open end, it's highlighted to show it can be picked. If the two ends are already touching, they're simply connected; otherwise a straight connecting segment bridges the gap.
Using Join
- Move the cursor near the open end of the first shape you want to join and click it.
- Move the cursor near the open end of the second shape (or the other end of the same shape, to close it up) and click it to complete the join.
Joining Open Ends
Join works only with open ends. Select the end of the first shape, then the end of the second shape. You can also select the two open ends of the same shape to close it.
If the selected ends already touch, Ibex connects them directly. If there is a gap, a straight segment is added between them so the result becomes one continuous contour.
Result
The two picked shapes (or the two ends of one shape) are merged into a single continuous shape, adding a short straight connector if they weren't already touching.
